Non-Contact Ultrasonic Sensor - 120V Power

APPLICATON

DEPTH-120V is ideal for below-ground detention and infiltration stormwater infrastructure systems when 120V power supply is available at the site. Surface system application is also possible.  Data is automatically sent to the P4 cloud-compute platform.


The computer is located within an electrical enclosure at the site.  A cellular antenna is mounted to the exterior surface of an electrical enclosure.  The computer is plugged into a standard 110V outlet (10 A circuit) within the enclosure.  A Pulsar dBi intelligent ultrasonic transducer (sensor) is hung in pendant mode (think plumb bob) within a access manhole riser by a sensor support bracket attached to the wall of the manhole riser using "TapCon" or similar fasteners.  Direct bury cabling (within a 1-1/2" inner diameter conduit or not) can be used to run the sensor wire to the on-site electrical cabinet where it can be plugged into the P4 computer.

1.)  Small form factor NEMA IP67 data acquisition computer with external cellular antenna (hockey puck).

INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS

Site power may require a dedicated and metered circuit on site.  Installation should consider this and all necessary permitting should be pursued.  Provisions should be made for a sensor wire conduit run from the access manhole riser to the electrical enclosure.

APPLICATON

LIQUA-Level is a popular choice for water-level monitoring.  LIQUA-Level can be used for measuring water level for surface detention/infiltration systems, below-ground detention/infiltration systems, sumps, groundwater wells, infiltration dry wells, and stormwater infrastructure that incorporates observation wells.  Data is automatically sent to P4 cloud-compute platform.


A pre-assembled computer, battery, solar-panel and stainless steel mounting bracket is mounted to an existing pole at the site or a stand-alone galvanized stand-alone pole with drive-in base provided with the kit.  A Rochester Gauges (FPI) 316 SS intrinsically-safe continuous water-level sensor offering measuring ranges from 6 in. to 10 ft is used.  The sensor length required will affect pricing.

APPLICATION

LIQUA-Level EPC is ideal for large surface infiltration basins and utilizes an innovative application of a Geokon pressure cell.  LIQUA-Level EPC addresses the challenges associated with monitoring water level where sensor support is infeasible and large water level measuring ranges is required.  


A pre-assembled computer, battery, solar-panel and stainless steel mounting bracket is mounted to an existing pole at the site or a stand-alone galvanized stand-alone pole with drive-in base provided with the kit.  A Geokon Fat Back pressure transducer (sensor) is buried at the bottom of the infiltration basin.


WHAT'S INCLUDED & OPTIONS


Included with Kit:

Customers should assess the need for a stand-alone pole mount for the computer, battery and solar-panel.  If no existing pole or other mounting location is present, the stand-alone pole option should be selected.  Provisions should be made for a sensor wire conduit run from the sensor to the computer system mounted to an existing or new stand-alone pole support.  Customers should also consider the need to bury the pressure sensor at a depth below the bottom of the basin.  Frost depth should be considered.
