One Hardware and Software Platform Designed, Built and Programmed in Brown Deer, WI. Accurate rainfall measurement, temperature, barometric pressure, relative humidity. Map-Centric, Browser-Based Data Platform. No SIM card worries, no Wi-Fi connection headaches, no Bluetooth connection headaches, and no programming - EVER

APPLICATION
Rain-mX is a robust and accurate weather station designed to monitor environmental conditions. It provides precise rainfall measurement to 0.01", along with air temperature, relative humidity, and barometric pressure, all delivered instantly to a cloud-based data platform with an intuitive dashboard. The Rain-mX utilizes an 8" diameter tipping bucket rain gauge that complies with U.S. National Weather Service requirements, measuring rainfall up to 7.8 inches/hour with a remarkable accuracy of 5% at 2 inches/hour. Powered by batteries with solar recharge, this weather station features wireless (cellular) data transmission and requires minimal maintenance. Data is automatically sent to the P4 cloud-compute platform.
Rain-mX is ideal for the following applications:
- Stormwater Best Management Practice (BMP) monitoring
- Construction site erosion compliance
- Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) prediction
- Irrigation scheduling
- Research and modeling calibration
- Green & blue roof performance validation
- Insurance & flood risk documentation
WHAT'S INCLUDED & OPTIONS
Included with Kit:
1.) A small form factor NEMA IP68 6P rated data acquisition computer
2.) A small form factor NEMA IP68 6P rated battery pack
3.) A 9W Voltaic solar panel
4.) An NWS compliant 8" diameter tipping bucket rain gauge.
5.) A NEMA IP68 6P rated barometric temperature, barometric pressure, and relative humidity (TPH) sensor system
6.) A stainless steel mounting bracket for the rain gauge, battery, computer, TPH sensor, and solar panel that includes stainless steel hose clamps for mounting
7.) A crown of thorns to prevent bird nesting for the tipping bucket
Options:
1.) A ballasted stand-alone mounting stand for locating the system on a flat roof, including ballast and rigid foam foundation.
2.) A galvanized steel stand-alone pole with a driven base and corner bolt for assembly.
INSTALLATION CONSIDERATIONS
Multiple mounting configurations are available for measuring environmental conditions in the local area. The first option is on a flat roof. The second option is a stand-alone pole configuration that can be installed wherever the pole base can be driven into the soil. The third option utilizes an existing pole (or wall) that does not obstruct rainfall entering the tipping bucket. Simply attach the pre-assembled mounting bracket with the solar panel, computer, battery, and TPH sensor to the stand or pole, mount the tipping bucket, connect the tipping bucket sensor wire, turn it on, and data is flowing.
